PHOENIX METRO AREA ONLY* LOOK AT THIS FACE… HOW IS YODA STILL WAITING? ❤️ Meet Yoda — a 2-1/2 -year-old, 16-pound Terrier/Shih Tzu mix with adorable wild-child ears, a playful personality, and so much love to give. Yoda is a sweet, sensitive little guy who can be shy with new people. One thing that's important to understand is that Yoda tends to choose one special person as "his person." He will usually bond with that person fairly quickly, but it takes him much longer to warm up to everyone else in the home. He isn't being stubborn or unfriendly—he just needs time to learn that everyone is safe. Once he trusts you, he's incredibly loyal, affectionate, and loves being with his people. He is a perfect example of the 3-3-3 rule (if you're not familiar with it, it's worth looking up!). Like many rescue dogs, Yoda needs patience, consistency, and understanding while adjusting to a new home. His foster family has seen firsthand that, while his trust takes time to earn, it's absolutely worth the wait. When Yoda finally decides you're part of his inner circle, you'll have a devoted best friend. He also loves to have fun! Yoda enjoys long walks, playing fetch, hiking, shopping trips, patio dining, and running around the yard with the zoomies. He will need a friendly dog buddy to play with and a secure fenced yard where he can safely explore and burn off energy. Yoda would do best in a home without cats. Yoda is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all his vaccines. He's ready to find the family he's been waiting for. ✨ All he needs is someone willing to give him the time he needs.
