Meet Zeke
Meet Zeke! Zeke is an absolutely stunning young male Rottweiler. He was found as a stray, brought to the shelter where he ended up on the Maricopa County Animal Care & Control euthanasia list. While he was at the shelter he was friendly with Staff and they were able to handle him. Even the vets were able to handle him without issue and if you have ever owned a Rottweiler, you know the vet can be a very difficult place for them. we were told that it was his reactivity to other dogs when he entered the lobby at the shelter, and when his Finder walked him. We don't know where he was being walked or in under what circumstances, however this behavior is typical and with training and consistency it can be squashed. However, I met him, and I took him out of his kennel, walked into a yard. I walked him past other dogs. He even sat outside of his kennel while we readjusted his leash with other dogs barking just a few fe wet away from him and he did nothing. he focused on me he sat and he was patient while we readjusted his leash- to me that is perfection. After meeting him and seeing how amazing he is, we knew we had to save him. We don't know Zeke's exact age, but he appears to be between 1- 2 years old. We haven't known Zeke very long, since we just rescued him, but what we have seen is a smart, even tempered, affectionate, and gentle male Rottweiler. As we take some time to get to know him and learn his likes and dislikes, we will be able to update his profile. We do not know how he does his other dogs, small animals, children. We will do our best to test him in as many situations as we can. We believe Zeke is going to make an amazing companion, and we look forward to helping him build the life he's always deserve!if you are interested in meeting Zeke or any of our adoptable Rotten Rottie's, Please go to our website www.rottenrottie.com and complete our adoption questionnaire. Adoption Process: If you are interested in adopting one of our fun-loving, "not-so-rotten" Rotties, you will be asked to fill out our adoption application which allows us to get to know you better. This ensures the dog you are interested in is a good fit for your family and lifestyle. You can access our Adoption Application by visiting our website at http://www.rottenrottie.com, click on Adopt a Rottweiler, Adoption Application, and submit the form online. After reviewing your answers, if we feel the dog you are interested in is not a match for your family, we may recommend a different Rottweiler companion. Once we determine which dog is best for you, we will schedule a meeting at their current home, where they feel most comfortable and act naturally. We require a home check to ensure each dog is going to a safe environment. To finalize the process, an adoption contract must be signed. We also require a rehoming fee, which is typically $500 for most adults and $350 for seniors (6 years and older) or Rottweiler mixes of any age (excluding puppies). Fees for puppies fluctuate depending on the investment required for the litter and whether they are purebred or a mix. These funds are necessary for our organization to continue rehoming Rottweilers in need. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and have tested negative for heartworms. Each dog comes with a collar and a leash. We also address any injuries or illnesses they had upon arrival or developed in foster care; any such conditions will be fully disclosed to the adopter prior to the adoption. Please Note: In almost all cases, we do not adopt to out-of-state applicants. On rare occasions, if we feel it is a PERFECT match for both you and the dog, we may make an exception for our neighbors in Las Vegas. If you live in Las Vegas and would like to be considered, please fill out our adoption application.
