Meet Zeus
Zeus is a male dog who presented bright, alert, and responsive (BAR) with a fractured right tibia and fibula, requiring urgent surgical intervention. His injuries are painful and will require surgical repair or amputation, depending on veterinary evaluation. Without prompt medical intervention, Zeus is at risk for ongoing pain, further complications, and impaired mobility. This level of specialized surgical care and postoperative recovery support exceeds what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment. Despite his condition, Zeus remains resilient and is doing his best while receiving supportive care. Zeus needs a safe, compassionate placement where he can receive immediate surgical evaluation, appropriate treatment for his fractures, and the necessary recovery care to relieve his discomfort and improve his quality of life. Zeus is at risk for euthanasia due to medical concerns beyond our scope of care. If you are interested in adopting, fostering, or rescuing Zeus, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov. When emailing, please include a callback number.
