Meet Zoe — The One Who Was Left Behind Zoe was born at the sanctuary, surrounded by her siblings. One by one, they were given the chance to leave, travel to the U.S., and begin the lives they deserved. But Zoe was the one no one chose. And she’s still waiting. There is nothing wrong with Zoe. She is calm, sweet, gentle, and simply hoping that someone will finally see her — really see her — and decide that she is worth choosing, too. It breaks our hearts to think about how many days she has watched others leave while she remained behind. But we refuse to let her story end there. Now, we’re determined to change Zoe’s future. She just needs one person to give her a chance. A chance to know what it feels like to be loved. A chance to have a family of her own. A chance to finally go home. Zoe has been waiting long enough. Please be the person who chooses Zoe. She’s ready to make you smile — and she may just make your heart whole in return.
