Meet Zyla

I'm Zyla, and I had a rough start to life. For this reason, I'm shy around new people, but hanging around with other dogs in the lobby at Pet Placement Center has taught me a lot of things--most importantly, that cheese is the best food ever! I've also learned that a gentle paw on the arm elicits pets 100% of the time (possibly because I have the best puppy dog eyes in town). I recently spent some time in a foster home and made huge progress: I learned how to walk on a leash, figured out some of the weird sounds a house makes, and realized how much I enjoy sleeping in a big bed where I get cuddles from a human all night. I'll need patience and practice to continue acclimating to a home environment and get comfortable meeting new people, going on car rides, and walking on a leash. But once I've figured out you're my friend, it doesn't take long to win my love!
