Nearly 1 year after being literally thrown away, TN dog finds love with new family: ‘He never stops smiling’

Isabella Forte, a 23-year-old from Massachusetts, was deeply moved when she saw a video on social media of a dog named Buddy being thrown over a six-foot fence at the Giles County Animal Shelter in Tennessee. The dog's appearance struck a chord with Forte, as he resembled her father's first rescue dog, Miles, who had passed away from cancer. Forte reached out to the shelter and adopted Buddy on August 7 of the previous year. The Critter Cavalry Rescue facilitated a 1,200-mile journey for Buddy from Tennessee to Connecticut, where Forte welcomed him into her home. Despite some initial fear around new people, Buddy has settled well into his new life, showing immense bravery and happiness. Forte has also adopted another rescue dog, and the two have become inseparable, playing and snuggling together. Forte expressed her joy in caring for Buddy, stating, 'We love them more than anything.'
