Meet Apollo

The Best Version of Him Is Waiting at HomeMeet Apollo—A Couch, a Cuddle & a Second ChanceApollo has been through a lot. After losing his person, shelter life has been overwhelming for this sweet boy. But a recent sleepover with a volunteer gave us a beautiful glimpse of the dog he truly is. And the report? `Oh, he was amazing!`Apollo is a calm, loving couch snuggle bug who seems happiest just being close to his person. He's wonderfully housebroken, goes to the door when he needs out, and had no accidents or marking. He slept through the night, except for one little bedside visit for reassurance. A gentle pet and a `go back to bed` were all he needed. He enjoys leisurely walks followed by well-earned naps, did great for his bath, and spent 45 happy minutes entertaining himself with a squeaky toy before performing a complete squeaker-ectomy! Durable toys, please. Apollo could use a little practice with car rides and needs a cat-free home. Beneath his shelter anxiety is a gentle, affectionate boy who misses having someone to love. Apollo doesn't need a fancy life—just a soft place to land, a cozy couch, and someone to call his own again. Apollo has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in his new home. Looking for a buddy for your dog? Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we're a match!
