Meet Arnie

Meet Arnie! Arnie is an approximately 8–9 month old, 39lb. Bahamian Potcake, likely a Golden/Lab mix, who was rescued from the streets alongside a busy road in Nassau and brought to the U.S. for the second chance he so deserves. And this boy is FUN. Arnie is goofy, easygoing, playful, hilarious, affectionate and basically everything a puppy should be. He loves everyone he meets, isn’t shy, and is always ready to make a new friend or join you on your next adventure. He’s also an awesome car companion and would be perfect for someone looking for a dog that can tag along for outings, road trips and everyday life. So far, Arnie gets along with: dogs, cats, kids, squirrels, turtles …honestly, pretty much everything he has met! Arnie is still a puppy, so he is not completely potty trained yet, but he has been learning extraordinarily fast! He is smart, eager to please and picking up the routine more and more every day. Like any young dog, he’ll benefit from continued consistency and basic puppy training as he settles into his forever home. One thing we’ve learned about Arnie is that while he absolutely adores his people, this boy was born to be part of a pack. He thrives with canine companionship and we would really love to see him go to a home with another friendly dog to play with, learn from and curl up beside at the end of the day. Having a dog buddy brings out the very best in him. Arnie has that wonderful Potcake personality — loving, adaptable, social and just happy to be included. After starting life surviving on the streets of Nassau, he is more than ready for a family of his own, a comfy bed, plenty of adventures, a canine best friend and a lifetime of being loved. If you’re looking for a happy-go-lucky best friend who will make you laugh every single day, Arnie may be your guy. NOTE: Arnie made the journey from the Bahamas with his best friend, Charlie, and while adopting them together is not a requirement, we would absolutely love to see these two boys continue their next chapter side by side. They already share such a special bond, and there would be something pretty incredible about watching them go from surviving together to growing up together in the same forever home.
