Meet Bailey

Adopt Bailey! He is a male Great Pyrenees, around 4-6 years old and 90lbs. Found dumped in a rural neighborhood, his foster family took him in and got him healthy. Now he is looking for a forever home. Bailey is very people friendly. He loves attention and belly rubs. He does well with kids and babies. With strangers he can be cautious or bark at first but quickly accepts love once he realizes they are kind. Bailey tolerates female dogs and will play well but he takes some time to warm up. Slow introductions are best. He has not done well with male dogs in the past, especially if they are not neutered. He has some leash reactivity to dogs while on walks. He is indifferent to the neighborhood cats. Overall he is a calm and lazy guy. Enjoys the occasional tug of war game with a rope toy. He is great about reading the room and matching your mood. Bailey LOVES car rides and getting a pup cup at Starbucks. He even did great on a boat outing! He also does well at the groomers. He is smart and has quickly picked up commands such as 'Sit', 'Stay', and 'Lay Down'. He's mastered the Pyr Paw and if that doesn't work, he will use his nose to lift your hand. Like a typical Pyrenees, he does bark when people or dogs walk by the house. He is house trained, but has marked the house when anxious in the past. Bailey is a loveable dog that just wants to be loved in return. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines. His adoption fee is $250. Currently he is in a foster home in DFW area of Texas.
