Meet Faye

Faye is a fun, food-motivated girl who has shown a friendly and social side in foster care. She has done well with dog-savvy children during supervised interactions and has been comfortable around people overall, although she can be a little unsure when meeting someone new and may bark or become tense at first. She enjoys treats and is happiest when there’s something interesting going on, but she can also be quite vocal, including a classic husky-style “scream” when she wants something. Faye has also shown that she’s a bit of a character and will keep you on your toes with her clever attempts to explore! Faye will need a home prepared for some continued training and management. She is not yet fully housebroken, although she will use potty pads, and she is an accomplished escape artist who can climb or squeeze through surprisingly small spaces. She can be destructive when left to her own devices and will need secure containment and supervision. She has been friendly with cats that remain calm, but may chase if they run, and while she has had some stiff interactions with other dogs, no incidents have occurred. Faye can be sensitive to correction and benefits from patient, consistent guidance rather than harsh handling. For an adopter looking for a quirky, entertaining companion who is willing to put in the work with her training and management, Faye has plenty of personality to offer.
