Adoption fee: $750 Graffiti: A Little Masterpiece With Four Paws Meet Graffiti, a 10–12 month old, 10 lb Mini Schnoodle rescued from a shelter and ready to leave his mark on someone’s heart! This friendly little fellow brings together the best of both worlds: playful bursts of puppy fun and a serious appreciation for a soft place to lounge. His non-shedding coat will need regular brushing and professional grooming to keep him looking and feeling his best. His Favorite Medium? Affection. Graffiti was sweet and friendly from the moment he arrived in his foster home. He settled in nicely, and as he grew more comfortable, his playful side started making appearances. Rope toys became much more interesting, and his foster family discovered that their little lounge enthusiast also has plenty of fun up his sleeve. He loves attention, cuddles, and lying beside his people. Whether you’re settling in for a movie or taking a break from your day, Graffiti is happy to add a little fluffy companionship. He has been friendly and playful with the children in his foster home, ages 9, 13, and 14. A Day in the Life of an Artist Graffiti begins his day with a 15-minute walk around 7:30 a.m., followed by breakfast at 8. Then it’s time to consider an important question: soft carpet or bean bag chair? Both are excellent locations for his daytime lounging. He heads out for another short walk around noon, then enjoys an evening walk and dinner around 6 p.m. Mornings and evenings are when his playful energy shines; during the day, he’s quite content to rest. After one final potty break, he settles into his crate or a bed inside his x-pen. In the morning, he waits patiently for his family to open the pen and start the day. When left home alone, he also stays in his x-pen and has been quiet and comfortable, without whining or crying. Small Dog, Smart Cookie Graffiti has already learned to sit, shake, and lie down on command. He picks up household expectations quickly, too—his foster family was impressed by how readily he learned their rule about staying off the couch. Fortunately, the bean bag chair remains a perfectly acceptable throne. He walks nicely on leash, usually strolling a little ahead with minimal pulling. He hasn’t barked at other dogs on walks and has only barked at a neighbor once. At home, he is generally quiet, though he may offer a little commentary when he’s especially excited and wants attention. His foster hasn’t observed unwanted chewing or digging. Mostly, Graffiti would like you to admire his tricks, join him for some playtime, and perhaps provide another cuddle. When Graffiti first arrived, he met two small dogs and was friendly with them, although he wasn’t ready to join in their games just yet. He met a cat at the DPS Safehouse and was very polite with her. Ready to Color Your World Graffiti would be a lovely match for a family who enjoys walks, toy time, and a dog who knows how to relax beside them afterward. His affectionate nature and experience with school-age children make him a charming potential family companion, with a little continued guidance on housetraining. And for one final artistic flourish: when Graffiti sneezes, he shakes his head. Even his sneezes come with choreography. If your home could use a little more playfulness, a little more cuddling, and ten pounds of personality, Graffiti is ready to make it his next masterpiece.
