Meet Mel

BIO Hello! My name is Mel. I am currently being house trained and doing very well. I’ve had no accidents since I first came to my foster home. I am also learning about being crated. Since I am still very young it is best to crate me if you cannot supervise me. I am cautious when strangers come to the house. I bark a little, but I will settle down when we are introduced. I am learning how to trust people. I am very affectionate and I will warm up to someone that spends time with me. I have met a lot of different dogs. I greet them in a very friendly playful way, even when I am out on a leash taking a walk. I am very well on leash. I don’t pull or bark at anything. I love playing with chew toys and tug. I know how to play fetch. I also like toys with treats in them. I am doing better in the car. I like it when we go somewhere fun. We visited family and I was quiet and well behaved. I have not met children here, however I did meet a toddler with no problem. I would like to find an active home with someone who is home more often than not. Someone who likes the outdoors to take me hiking and play. I love running around. I hear obedience and agility classes are fun. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered.
