Meet Trooper

BIO Hello! My name is Trooper. I am house trained and crate trained. Since I am still young it is best to crate me when you cannot supervise me. I was hit by a car, and I am doing very well following my FHO surgery. I love all the people and children I meet. I will seek attention and love belly rubs. Someday I may even be a snuggler. I currently live with other dogs at my foster home. I am friendly to them. I like smaller or same size dogs best. Big dogs scare me. Foster mom is working on that with me. I feel better when I know I am safe. I had a rough start for a young pup. I was cat tested when I was boarded and I passed, so it is ok if you have a dog savvy cat. I love all of my chew toys, stuffies, squeakies and balls. Maybe you could teach me how to play fetch. I like going for car rides. I am learning commands. I walk well on a leash. When I see other dogs while we are out walking, I get a little defensive until I feel safe. I would love to find an active family home with a confident, nonreactive canine companion. Someone with patience who understands the importance of consistency. Someone to help me on the road to my recovery. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $350. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered.
