Meet October
October is a sweet, gentle soul. At about 6 months old he's still small, but he'll grow into a big dog, so you're getting a lot of love in a large package. What stands out most is how calm and polite he is. He watches the dogs and cats in his foster home closely and gives them their space. Most puppies pounce first and think later, but October reads the room. He loves to chew. Toys, rawhides, anything he can get his mouth on. A good stash of chew toys will make him very happy! October is also very food motivated and will work hard for a treat. That makes him a great training prospect. If you've wanted a puppy who's eager to learn sit, stay, and everything after, he's ready to start. He can be a little shy at first, but he warms up to new people quickly. With some encouragement and positive reinforcement, his confidence will grow. A resident dog to learn from would help him come out of his shell even faster. October's ideal home:-Has another dog to be his buddy and role model, or a family ready to build his confidence with positive training-Someone home often, or willing to help him learn to be alone. He's used to having company and gets anxious when he's left completely by himself. With patience and training, he can learn to settle on his own.-Space and enthusiasm for a pup who will grow into a large dogIf you want a gentle, trainable companion who will grow up beside you, October could be your dog.
