At only six months old, PB is still a young pup with plenty of enthusiasm for life. He loves going for walks, playing with his toys, spending time with other dogs, and exploring the world around him. But for all his playful energy, PB has an especially affectionate side. When the fun is over, his favorite place is snuggled up with his people. PB truly loves companionship. He's wonderful with other dogs and seems to make friends everywhere he goes. He enjoys meeting new people and greets the world with the happy, outgoing attitude of a dog who simply loves being part of the action. One of the things that makes PB especially impressive for his age is how much he has already learned. He's house-trained and crate-trained, knows basic commands, and walks beautifully on a leash. His future family won't be starting from scratch—they'll have a smart young dog with a great foundation who is ready to continue learning. As a Pit Bull Mix, PB is expected to mature into a strong, affectionate, intelligent, and people-oriented companion. Pit Bull-type dogs are often known for their enthusiasm, loyalty, athleticism, and deep affection for their families. Now he needs someone ready to keep building on that foundation and give him the forever home he's waiting for. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect PB already has an excellent start on his training. He is house-trained, crate-trained, knows basic commands, and walks well on a leash—all impressive accomplishments for a six-month-old dog. However, adolescence is an important developmental period, and training shouldn't stop simply because PB already knows the basics. His future family should continue reinforcing his good habits while helping him develop into a confident, well-mannered adult. Please also remember the 3-3-3 Rule when bringing any rescue dog home: 3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe 3 Weeks to understand the new household routine 3 Months to settle in, build trust, and truly feel at home Even a house-trained dog can temporarily have accidents when adjusting to a new environment. Likewise, commands and behaviors learned in one setting may need reinforcement in another. Patience and consistency during the transition will set PB up for success. His future family will be responsible for continuing the excellent care he has already received. His ongoing care should include: Routine veterinary wellness examinations Vaccinations and boosters as recommended by his veterinarian Flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite prevention A nutritionally complete diet appropriate for a growing young dog Routine dental care Maintaining a healthy adult weight Daily physical exercise Mental stimulation and enrichment Continued training and socialization Veterinary treatment whenever illness or injury occurs A safe, loving indoor home Because PB is still growing, his exercise, nutrition, and overall care should continue to evolve as he matures into adulthood.
