Meet Stout

Meet Stout, a 33-pound mixed breed puppy with an estimated date of birth of 3/21/26. And now that this sweet boy has landed in a foster home, we're discovering that Stout may just be the easiest puppy around! Stout is incredibly sweet, gentle, and adaptable. He's the kind of puppy who is perfectly happy wherever he happens to be. Put him on the bed and he'll be thrilled to cuddle with his human. Accidentally leave him on the other side of the baby gate? He's perfectly content there, too. Stout simply goes with the flow and doesn't seem to feel the need to make a fuss about much of anything. He's playful and enjoys running around the house, playing with toys, spending time in the yard, and playing with other dogs, but he's also perfectly happy just hanging out with his people. When the fun is done and it's time for a nap, you'll find him sleeping near his pile of toys. He's good with dogs, cats, and humans of all ages. He'd really enjoy having another dog around for company in his future home. Stout is doing great in his crate and sleeps comfortably crated in another room at night. He's making progress with housetraining and is learning to walk nicely on leash. Like any young puppy, he'll need a family who is ready to continue helping him learn his puppy basics with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. Stout truly seems to be one of those special puppies who makes life easy. He's happy, gentle, affectionate, adaptable, and ready to fit right into his forever family. His minimum adoption fee is $350, plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
