If you’re looking for a happy, affectionate, fun-loving dog who thinks everyone he meets is his new best friend, Tug might be your guy! Tug is a young, energetic pup with a big heart and a love for life. He is good with other dogs and kids and truly never meets a stranger. He loves everyone he meets and is thrilled to get pets from anyone willing to give them. More than anything, Tug wants to be wherever the action is, preferably right by your side. Tug is housebroken and crate trained, and he walks well on a leash with his harness. He also loves car rides, especially if he can sit on someone’s lap for the trip. Like any rescue dog, he is still working on a few things. When Tug gets really excited, he wants to jump up to say hello, so he is working on remembering not to jump up for attention. The good news is that Tug is very treat motivated and eager to learn. He picked up “sit” after just one day of training, so continuing his training should be both fun and rewarding! Tug has plenty of young-dog energy and loves going for walks, playing with toys, chewing on bones, and getting the zoomies around the house. He enjoys smelling and exploring everything he comes across and really just loves being involved in whatever his people are doing. Despite his enthusiasm for life, Tug isn’t a big barker unless he sees his reflection in the mirror, of course! He is a goofy, affectionate boy who pretty much likes everything and everyone. Tug would do well with kids or another dog, although he certainly doesn’t need another dog in the home to be happy. He is looking for a family who wants a happy, easygoing companion and is committed to continuing his training while keeping him active and engaged. In return, Tug will give you endless affection, plenty of laughs, and a loyal companion who would love nothing more than to be by your side.
