Meet Wynter Cloud

Wynter Cloud was adopted from us and returned when her owner died and spouse was no longer able to care for her. Cloudy is a 5 year old great pyrenees. She does great with other dogs outside the home in play groups but would do best as an only dog in the home with no small kids. She is a big girl at more than 100 pounds. She needs a experienced large guardian breed owner. Cloudy loves to lie outside keeping watch while the younger dogs play. She loves going on walks and hikes and is friendly with everyone she meets along the way. However she does take her guarding job very serious inside the home and will let unannounced visitors know. Cloud is quiet and clean in her kennel and patiently waits for her turn to go out. If you are looking for a calm dog, Cloud is your girl but do not let her fool you she can keep up with the youngsters when the feeling strikes her. They can be stubborn, prone to barking, overly protective and cannot be off leash. You WILL NOT train a pyr to boundaries. Please be sure all family members are in agreement to adopting and your family is ready to bring dog home now. Applicants must be at least 21 years old. We do not have blanket criteria regarding adoptions. Each applicant is considered based on many things including but not limited to breed experience, yard ( visible fence preferred) and other animals in home. We try to avoid dogs with same sex households as pyrs typically do not do well with the same sex. A volunteer will be in touch to discuss your application and the dog to determine if it is a good match. Your vet and two references will be called. A virtual home visit done. Once approved a meet and greet at the farm will take place. If all are in agreement and the animal has received its NH health certificate an adoption contract will be signed and adoption fee paid. Adoption fees for dogs are $500. for adults over 12 months, $600 for puppies 12 months and younger. Fees for seniors, special needs or harder to place dogs will be determined by our Board of Directors. All dogs will be altered when adoption is finalized. This may involve young puppies be given until a certain age to be altered. All animals are up to date on age appropriate core vaccines, negative for parasites, heart worm and lyme tested if 6 months or older, microchipped and have a current health certificate. Proof of a basic obedience course completed is part of our adoption contract within six months. Our descriptions are based on shelter evaluations, input from foster homes and interactions with our volunteers but are in no way a guarantee of temperment. We show animals by appointment only.
