Three beagles, Linus, Charlie, and Peanuts, were rescued from a Wisconsin medical research facility and brought to the Alger Correctional Facility in Munising for rehabilitation. They were part of a larger rescue operation that saved 1,500 dogs. Inmates at the correctional facility worked with the dogs to help them adjust and prepare for adoption. The Delta Animal Shelter is now accepting adoption applications for the neutered dogs until 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 8. Those selected will be able to pick up their new furry friends directly from the prison. This heartwarming story highlights the positive impact of rehabilitation programs and the importance of giving animals a second chance at a loving home.
