Friendly, loving 7-year-old dog looks for her fur-ever home

This week Gulf Coast Humane Society brought one of their dogs into the "Good Morning Gulfcoast" studio on Tuesday to help her find a new home. The shelter introduced Lina, a friendly mixed-breed who is looking for a loving family. Lina is seven years old and weighs about 67 pounds. Staff describe her as calm, sweet and affectionate — a companion dog who would do best in a home where she can feel secure, relax, and be cherished during her adult years. Lina tested positive for heartworm in the past but has completed treatment, according to the shelter. Because of her age she also qualifies for the Silver Paws VIP Program and has been designated a Dolly’s Dream Dog, which means adopters receive extra adoption items and support. At this point Lina is available and ready to move into her forever home where she can enjoy her golden years with a family. The Gulf Coast Humane Society is promoting her adoption and encouraging interested people to meet her and learn more about giving her a stable, caring home. If you would like to adopt Lina or get more information about her, the shelter’s adoption listing is at https://gulfcoasthumanesociety.org/adopt/dogs/#sl_embed&page=shelterluv_wrap_1757000391%2Fembed%2Fanimal%2FGCFM-A-88610.
