About adopting a Cane Corso Mastiff
The Cane Corso Mastiff is an Italian guardian breed, massive and muscular but more agile than most mastiffs, and the young ones in rescue often outgrew an owner who did not plan for a dog this powerful. They are serious, loyal, and watchful, and they need an owner who is calm and consistent.
A Cane Corso puppy grows fast and must learn manners before it is large enough to make its own rules. Early socialization to people, dogs, and places is critical, because the breed's guarding instinct can turn into suspicion without it.
