Wendy, a 4-year-old dachshund, has been named the Animal Shelter Society Pet of the Week. Wendy is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, and is looking for a new home. She was surrendered to the shelter by her owner who had to move into an assisted living facility, and none of the other family members could take her. Wendy may need some time to adjust to new people but enjoys walks and becomes very playful. The shelter is also hosting Pints and Pups on the Patio at Y-Bridge Brewing Company on Saturday, September 12th, from 1 to 3 PM, and Schmidt’s Sausage Truck will be there with food for purchase. Additionally, the shelter is preparing for the Inaugural Bark, Bourbon, and Leaf event next Thursday, with tickets still available.
