Austin Pets Alive lends a paw as Subie and other Texas flood pets look for fresh starts

In the aftermath of the devastating Hill Country floods, Austin Pets Alive! has stepped up to help hundreds of pets affected by the disaster. Among the many animals they've rescued is Subie, a Corgi-Heeler mix estimated to be around 1 or 2 years old. Subie, who has quickly become a beloved pet at the shelter, was brought in just two days ago from the flood-affected areas.

Austin Pets Alive! is not only providing a safe haven for pets like Subie but is also working to create space in local shelters for newly displaced pets and reuniting lost animals with their families. The organization has transported nearly 300 animals from flood-affected areas in just one week.

To support their efforts, Austin Pets Alive! is asking the community for help in various ways, including donations of pet food and supplies, leashes and collars, monetary donations, and foster volunteers. The shelter is also offering adopters the opportunity to name their own adoption fee, allowing them to donate whatever amount they can afford.
