Dozens of Dogs find forever homes at second-annual Pawtriots Training Camp dog adoption event

The New England Patriots kicked off their training camp with a heartwarming event, the second-annual Pawtriots dog adoption event, held at Gillette Stadium on July 25, 2026. This special event, spearheaded by Dr. Dana Kraft, brought together dozens of shelter dogs from local rescues and shelters, offering them a chance at finding their forever homes.

Players from the Patriots walked eligible dogs out to practice, giving them a chance to meet potential adopters at the CVS Health Gate entrance. Participating shelters included Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts, Baypath Humane Society of Hopkinton, Buddy and Friends Animal Rescue, Potter League of Rhode Island, Second Chance Animal Services, and the Animal Rescue League of Boston.

As of the event's first day, 34 out of 56 dogs had been adopted, with expectations that more adoptions will be confirmed in the coming days. Patriots Chairman & CEO Robert Kraft emphasized the importance of dogs in bringing families together. Players like Bryce Baringer and his wife Bella have been strong advocates for the cause, with Bella even helping persuade long snapper Julian Ashby to adopt a dog.

The Baringers also donated $6,000 to the Pawtriots to help offset adoption costs for families. Dr. Kraft expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from players, coaches, and volunteers.
