Meet Toot, our Adoptable Pet of the Week in Greater Portland

This week's spotlight at the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland shines on Toot, a delightful 5-year-old chocolate Labrador retriever. Described by Matt Blanchard as a bundle of sunshine, Toot is known for his friendly nature and boundless energy. He enjoys meeting new people and other dogs, and his playful spirit makes him a joy to be around. However, Toot's previous home lacked structure, so he will benefit from a family that can provide training and guidance while also including him in their daily activities. His enthusiasm can be overwhelming for younger children, so a family with older kids might be a better match.

Toot's adoption process is managed on a first-come, first-served basis at the shelter located at 217 Landing Road in Westbrook. The shelter is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., except on Wednesdays. Early adopters can sign in starting at 9 a.m. to secure their place in line. For those interested in adopting Toot or other pets, the shelter offers a chance to meet the animals in person.
