Rescue of the Week: Bowie, 1-year-old terrier mix

Wellie’s Wish Dog Rescue is spotlighting Bowie, a one-year-old terrier mix, as their Rescue of the Week. Bowie, weighing 17 pounds, is a confident and affectionate dog with a big personality. Despite being listed as a Poodle in his intake paperwork, Bowie is believed to be more of a terrier mix. He enjoys the company of people of all ages and loves receiving attention. Bowie came from a puppy mill and initially had trouble using his back right leg. After a visit to the veterinarian, it was discovered that he had a degenerative hip condition, which required corrective surgery. Following his recovery, Bowie is now fully healed and using his leg comfortably. He is also house and crate trained and gets along well with other dogs, enjoying activities like tug, wrestling, and playtime. Bowie would be a great addition to a family, couple, or single adopter, as he is social, adaptable, and ready for a happy life.
