Wednesday Friendsday on We Are Austin brought a heartwarming moment as Fruity Pebbles, a charming rescue puppy from Happy Hearts Dog Rescue, captured the audience's attention. Ruby, a special guest co-host, helped the 2 1/2-month-old puppy, who is likely a Chihuahua mix, feel at ease during his first television appearance. Fruity Pebbles and his brothers, Kix, Trix, and Chex, were rescued from South Texas and are now in search of their forever homes. Despite his initial nervousness, Fruity Pebbles quickly settled down with Ruby's support. Currently in a foster home with two larger dogs, he is making strides in crate training, potty training, socialization, and interacting with other dogs. Due to his incomplete vaccinations, he safely explores the neighborhood in a dog stroller. Happy Hearts Dog Rescue, a foster-based organization, ensures every rescued dog lives in a volunteer's home, providing them with food, supplies, and veterinary care.
